Equipment

  • Espresso Machine

Ingredients

  • 50 ml espresso coffee
  • ice cubes
  • 120 ml milk
  • 1 tsp coconut flavoring
  • 1 tsp cinnamon flavoring
  • shredded coconut
  • simple sugar syrup

Instructions

  • Brew 2 servings (50ml) of espresso in a small pitcher. You want it strong and rich, so make sure you use a good-quality coffee bean and your espresso machine is properly set up for the best results.
  • Pour the brewed espresso into a cocktail shaker filled with ice cubes. Shake vigorously to chill the coffee and create a smooth texture.
  • Half-fill a glass with ice cubes. This ensures your coconut coffee stays cold and refreshing, without watering it down too much.
  • Pour 120 ml of coconut milk into the glass until it reaches about 3/4 of the way up the glass. This will create a nice base for your drink.
  • Add 1 teaspoon each of coconut and cinnamon flavoring to the milk. The coconut flavor will deepen the coconut milk’s natural taste, while the cinnamon will add a warm, spicy kick that complements the espresso perfectly.
  • Pour the chilled espresso into the glass with the milk mixture. Watch the layers of coffee and coconut milk swirl together to create a beautiful drink.
  • Garnish with shredded coconut for a little texture and extra coconut flavor. This adds a satisfying crunch that takes your coconut coffee to the next level.
  • Sweeten with simple syrup to taste. If you like your coffee on the sweeter side, feel free to add more syrup, but remember that the coconut milk already brings some natural sweetness to the drink.
  • Serve and enjoy. Take a sip, and let the creamy, spicy, and aromatic flavors of your coconut latte transport you to a tropical paradise with every drop.

Notes

To get the best results for this hazelnut latte, a strong espresso is key. Here are some recommended brewing methods:
Espresso Machine – The best option for a smooth and rich espresso base.
Moka Pot – Produces a strong coffee that works well in place of espresso.
AeroPress – A great alternative for making concentrated coffee with minimal equipment.
French Press – While it won’t provide the same intensity as espresso, it can still be used for a flavorful base.

Want to put your own spin on this hazelnut iced coffee? Here are some exciting variations:
Vanilla Hazelnut Latte - Add a few drops of vanilla extract to the espresso before mixing in the molasses for a subtly sweet and aromatic twist.
Coconut-Hazelnut Blend - Use a mix of hazelnut milk and coconut milk for a tropical touch.
Chocolate Hazelnut Mocha - Stir in a teaspoon of cocoa powder into the espresso before shaking it with ice. This variation tastes like a Nutella-inspired coffee dream!
Nutty Mix Experiment - Try blending hazelnut milk with almond or oat milk to create different textures and flavors.
Spiced Hazelnut Coffee - Add a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg for a warm, autumn-inspired variation.
