Instructions

1) Preheat the oven to 180 °C / 356 °F. Line a 20×25 cm (app. 9 x 9 inch) baking pan or tray with parchment paper.

2) We melt the chopped chocolate together with the cubed butter in a water bath. We stir in the cocoa powder and instant coffee, then pour the mixture into a bowl. We incorporate the sugar, and then add the eggs one by one.

3) We mix the flour with 1 pinch of salt and fold it into the chocolate mixture. We stir in the black coffee and wine, evenly sprinkling with chopped hazelnuts or walnuts. We bake it in the preheated oven’s middle section for about 40 minutes. After checking with a toothpick, we remove it from the oven and let it cool completely in the form, placed on a rack.

4) Finally, we remove the cake from the form and cut it into cubes.

Serving

We serve it sprinkled with powdered sugar, cocoa powder, or almonds, as desired.
